This is an ongoing process.

===>> It is our everyday work!!

And somehow – this everyday work has become confused with a very powerful initiation that is given, ONLY TO THOSE prepared for it. As well, what is intended to be our everyday work, has now been given some “special status” with an incorrect name.

That IS NOT what the dark night of the soul is about.

The dark night of the soul is an INITIATION given to SOULS WHO ARE READY & have stripped away the layers of human personality… this is NOT an ongoing process. It is a test of the soul

And a secondary even more intense INITIATION is that of the dark night of the Spirit. This also is given to those who have earned the right to receive this test.

Let’s not confuse the day-to-day work we are to be doing, with it being something special. Yes, rooting out the shadow behavior IS AN ONGOING day to day process. And some of these layers are more intense than others. And let’s not confuse day-to-day work with earned initiations.

Psychology really has moved quite far away from it’s Lemurian origins… where the “psychologists of the day” were the high Priests & Priestesses of the temple… who understood well the soul and the personality and the schisms between them.

Modern day psychology, depending on the therapist, is as far from understanding Spiritual initiations & precepts, as a hog from the moon. And really have no training or right to be labeling things with “spiritual connotations”.

The Psychology programs offered in the medical system of our day is grossly lacking in conducting spiritual guidance.

I’ve gone through a few dark nights of the soul without much guidance. So it’s wonderful that a professional is talking about it. What made me very sad, though, is that in her personal life, she decided to leave her husband to whom she was happily married for someone she fell madly in love with. She is not married to that person, so it seems she is keeping herself free from commitment. It seems that way anyway. She mentioned in this podcast about going through the dissolution of a family; I think she meant her own. I found this so extremely sad. She’s happy. But her devastated spouse and children? It seems her underlying message was that we should do what makes us happy, that finding our true self and living that out are the highest value without regard to anyone else. Are we to live only for our own happiness? Are we to make what we want the highest priority, particularly when it will tragically impact the happiness of those we love? If that is truly ok with her, and if it’s the value she is raising up to the highest level we can achieve in our own lives, her message carries far less credibilty and wisdom. It made me very sad to think of her family whose lives were damaged by her actions. If she had been married to an abusive or unfaithful spouse, it would be understandable, and it would have had a valid reason – to care for herself as also a valuable person. But to do it the way she did, I cannot express deeply enough my sadness and pain for her family, and that I can’t listen to her without that pain and sadness.
